So the A6 has been sitting for a bit over a month awaiting departure. Today I cleaned out everything in it. Here’s an inventory about what Jkm keeps in there.

Location 1: Center console

1 tin of wintergreen Altoids smalls. There are only five left in there.

1 small clear bag with idk in it

2 things of tissues that I never use

1 pack of Trident gum. (There were only two pieces left)

A bunch of change for paying strippers with

1 empty mint box from Spain that contained the change

1. Thing of Clorox wipes for after the strippers leave

Kinja'd!!!

Location 2: Glovebox

Two CDs with idk on them.

One first aid kit

One tire pressure thing that actually sucks ass

Kinja'd!!!

Location 3: Trunk

Three stowed dead hookers (Not pictured)

Several dirty microfibers

Armor All wipes that I have never used on this car

One bottle of Quik Detailer

Kinja'd!!!

Location 3: Window

One phone holder that doesn’t work with my Iphone 6s.

Kinja'd!!!

Location 4: The Audi bag in my trunk. Everything in it started off in my A4 and then migrated to my A6. Most of it is old stuff.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

1 VAG-Com thing because it’s an Audi and I need that

1 Shitty hand sanitizer

1 Ice scraper that I stole from my parents house about five years ago

8 black ice air fresheners (From the A4)

2 New Car Scent air fresheners (From the A6)

A bunch of zip ties

Several micro fibers

One roll of paper towels, from the A4.

So yeah, that’s what is in my A6. Rest in peace A6, you did good.

Bad clutch, bad 02 sensors. Not enough patience/time to fix it myself....

Bad clutch, bad 02 sensors. I don’t have the time or patience to do it myself and it’s not worth paying for....

How much would it have been?

Around $4,000 for those two things and for the rest of the things it needed around $8,000.

They were mainly wear items though.

I get what you mean... I just hope nothing ever goes cataclysmicly wrong with the big merc. I'd like to keep it for ever but idk how expensive it could get.

Yep... Euro cars like your Audi are really nice to drive... but they can get expensive fast. Still... spending a few thousand keeping your old Audi going is cheaper than buying a new Audi.

Having said that, for $4000 - $8000, you can buy 2-4 good used Focus Wagons. I recently paid just under $2000 for a Focus Wagon... and that includes the safety, etest and tax.

I’ll buy the VAGCOM cable from you. Is it a real one? I need one.

No dime bag of weed?

Holy Wunderbaum that’s a lot of smelly trees!

That said, welcome to the club. Got rid of my A6 for similar reasons. Potential repair costs and time at the time of breakage vs. cars value. Mine was a 05 4.2L with broken timing chain guides and valve damage. Was quoted anywhere from $6k to $10k for the repairs.

They’re great cars, till something breaks.

Yup. I still look at them longingly if I happen to see one on the streets. I think they look great - low and wide, and were fun to drive. I just think I need to face the harsh reality that I can’t afford a high performance German car at this point in my life. Plus the wife is happier without the $130 oil changes, when her car is like $20. One day I’ll get back in the game, perhaps with an A/S7 when I think I can afford them, but for now, I’m driving an Acura.
